	Updated Feb 1st, 2012: We are dreaming of snow in Minnesota, but the local ski resorts have been doing a good job keeping the runs nice so we can still enjoy the winter. Meet and Skis at Welch March 10 - Sitzmark to grill hamburgers As Sitzmark is a member of the Midwest Sport/Ski Council (MSC), our members are invited to even more fun-filled events and get a chance to mingle with other local ski and sports clubs. Sitzmark is hosting several Meet & Ski dates this winter on Saturdays. We also have informal meet and ski's, and an occasional weeknight ski.  Contact John and watch our websites and www.midwestfun.org for more details, dates, and locations. For the events at Welch, we will meet at Madd Jaxx Chalet in the east parking lot. Sitzmarkers will be there, as well as members from the other local ski clubs. Feb 21st Cross Country Skiing Night Cross-Country Skiing Elm Creek Park Reserve Maple Grove Tuesday, February 21 6:30 pm No snow? No problem! Elm Creek is one of the few places in Minnesota that manufactures snow for cross-country skiing. They have 2.5k of lit trails to enjoy (3.5 miles if there’s enough natural snow). Meet us at the Chalet around 6:30. Ski pass re-quired; daily pass costs $4. Ski rental is also available at the chalet for $8 (traditional skis) or $15 (skate skis). There are also concessions and a fireplace to enjoy after your run. After skiing we’ll head to Maple Tavern for refreshments (9375 Deerwood Lane N, 763-425-2700).
